I built a Kyria

Switches: Gazzew Boba U4 (tactile) 🥰
I broke off the outer column because I wasn’t using it much on the Corne; I moved everything I did use to the thumb keys. I started experimenting with home row mods and found out they’re actually very useful and not as disruptive to normal typing as I expected. I found the layout (with “aggressive pinky stagger”) more comfortable than the Moonlander or Corne. (See https://jhelvy.github.io/splitKbCompare/ to compare layouts.)
This keyboard supports the SplitKB tenting puck which means you can attach a puck to each half and mount them on any tripod that uses a 1/4" screw. I used this with two manfrotto pocket tripods) to “tent” the keyboard into a more neutral wrist position. I ordered laser cut acrylic layers from the GitHub repo to make a semi-custom high-profile case.
I love the layout of this one, but I don’t use the rotary encoders as much as I thought I would, and I don’t use all of the thumb keys either.
